Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother
Poem
At Home at Rest
Good Friday on a solemn day our loved one quietly departs,
​
Left hurt, sad, broken engulfed with pain the sorrow of our hearts.
​
There in that moment your life slips away, memorized by your transition we look on in dismay.
​
A mother to many you transitioned in peace, our tears filled with sadness was our only release.
​
We cry for ourselves and the void that we feel, you impacted many through your faith and your zeal.
​
Outspoken and transparent your words spoke truth to the core, your authentic demeanor we will forever adore.
​
We will cherish fond memories of you every day, you gave life its best while guiding us along the way.
​
Your loved ones close in spirit, have said their goodbyes, as your legacy lives on we will cherish with such pride.
​
You are no longer in pain and you had a tough ride, but its so comforting to know that you now sit at Christ's side.
​
You worked hard to make a difference, you did it all
and passed life’s test,
​
But your heavenly father has called you now to come home and rest.
​
We will miss you here with us, no more words left to say, but we hold on tight to the promise that we will see you again one day.
